Wireless Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens Concept Camera

Wireless Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens Concept Camera

A while back, I posted an article on EVIL concept cameras. Now there is some buzz about WVIL cameras and this is probably the most anticipated future gadget in my book.  The Wireless Viewfinder Interchangeable Lens is a concept camera design by Seattle-based design firm Artefactgroup. What’s novel about the design is that the imaging sensor is situated in the back of the lens rather than in the camera body, allowing the lens to be detached and used apart from the body wirelessly. And what’s even more incredible is that the camera body doubles as a cell phone! I want one!

To see what I’m talking about, check out this  video showing the camera “in action” at CES 2011:

I could see paparazzi using these in the near future so they could remain inconspicuous… what do you think?
